Health and Wellness
The Student Health Center (SHC) at NYU offers medical, counseling, health promotion, and pharmacy services and provides accessibility accommodations to students with disabilities. All matriculated students in a degree-granting program have access to the SHC, regardless of insurance.
MindfulNYU hosts a wide offering of free yoga and meditation classes throughout the week during the academic year. All classes are open to students with a current and valid NYU ID. These are drop in classes and no prior registration is required.
There are plenty of opportunities to stay active across NYU's three athletic facilities - Palladium, 404 fitness, and Brooklyn. NYU Athletics offers recreational classes, club and recreational sports, and open gym and pool hours at no cost to students.
Food Assistance
There are a number of resources avaiable to you for food assistance including:
- NYU Courtesy Meals: a short-term, emergency resource for students facing an unexpected financial situation and are unable to afford meals or groceries.
- The College Student Pantry: a food pantry program for college and graduate students in NYC. The Pantry is run by student volunteers and is there for any student who needs some food. No questions asked.
