Stephen is the Senior Fellow at the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale University and a Senior Lecturer at Yale’s School of Management. Formerly, Stephen was the Chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia and the Chief Economist at Morgan Stanley. Stephen is the author of Unbalanced: The Codependency of America and China and The Next Asia: Opportunities and Challenges for a New Globalization.
NYU gave me the window of experience and the analytical tools that sparked my 45-year career as an economist—at the Federal Reserve, on Wall Street, and in academia. Giving something back by serving on the GSAS Advisory Board is the very least I can do by way of gratitude.
