Scholarly Programs

Leading scholars: faculty and students

Attracted by the opportunity to study and conduct advanced research with world-renowned professors and fellow scholars in one the world's most dynamic cities, students come from all 50 states and more than 100 countries.

Of GSAS's more than 650 full-time faculty, half are professors and a third are associate and assistant professors. Among our ranks are five Pulitzer Prize winners, nine MacArthur Fellows, three National Medal of Science winners, four Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigators, and 98 Guggenheim Fellows.

Over the last three years, 26 GSAS students have studied abroad as Fulbright Fellows; 15 have received Andrew Mellon Fellowships; nine, support from the National Institutes of Health; six, awards from the Ford Foundation; and 48 have received support from the National Science Foundation.
