Alumni and Alumnae
An enduring connection
Whether you have been away from the Graduate School of Arts and Science a matter of months or many years, the Office of Alumni Relations will help you stay connected with the University and fellow GSAS graduates.
GSAS regularly honors graduates for achievements in their field, helps sponsor intellectually stimulating events and, coordinates giving on the part of graduates and other friends of GSAS. We value and need the support of our graduates.
Our graduates - more than 37,000 to date - are life-long members of our community, and their chosen fields and accomplishments are as varied as our courses of study.
Past winners of the GSAS Alumni Achievement Award have included: Nobel Laureate biochemist, Julius Axelrod; Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, George Perle; award-winning food writer, Florence Fabricant, and founder and president of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, Ruth J. Abram. Many GSAS alumni have also been honored with university-wide awards: Philippe de Montebello, past president of the Metropolitan Museum; Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve; and Tamar Schlick, a leader in mathematical biology are only a few of our graduates who have received the Distinguished Alumni Award.
For information on alumni activities and all alumni events, please visit our website regularly. NYUniverse, the new online alumni community and global network, is also a great resource for all NYU alumni. For Arts and Science news, visit the Arts and Science Alumni Blog.
Stay in touch with your fellow GSAS alumni through Facebook and LinkedIn.
