Visit our Campus
We invite you to visit the Graduate School.
New York University was founded in 1831 by the earliest residents of Greenwich Village who built their homes on the north side of Washington Square Park. Today the campus is at the heart of Greenwich Village. The Washington Square Arch, one of New York City's most famous landmarks, is located in the center of the campus. It commemorates the centennial of George Washington's inauguration and was designed by Stanford White. Long a symbol of both Greenwich Village and New York University, the arch has recently undergone a $3 million renovation.
While you are on the web, you can take a virtual tour of the campus and nearby neighborhoods. If you are in New York City, we hope you will visit us.
