Did you know your NYU affiliation allows you to access other area libraries, including Columbia?
NYU and Columbia have a Cooperative Agreement to share library resources through reciprocal on-site access. NYU students, faculty, and staff are eligible for these reciprocal access privileges. (Please note, the reciprocal agreement between NYU and Columbia University is for access only. Borrowing privileges are not included.)
For more information on access to Columbia University Libraries, see here: http://library.nyu.edu/about/columbia.html
For access to other area libraries, NYU is a member of the New York Metropolitan Reference and Research Library Agency (METRO), which offers a referral service to many participating local libraries. NYU Libraries users needing access to items not available at Bobst or in the public library system may request a METRO referral card at any of the Bobst Library Reference Centers (floors 1, 6, & 9) for a one-time-only visit to another area library to use a specified item on-site there. (Please note, the METRO referral is not intended for general use of another library's collections or services. Borrowing privileges are not included.)
For more information on METRO referrals, see here: http://library.nyu.edu/about/metro.html
Bobst Library is pleased to announce the introduction of QuickCheck self-checkout machines. Library users may now check out books 24 hours a day. To use this QuickCheck, you must have registered your library card at your home library's circulation desk. If you have previously checked out materials, then you are registered. You must also be in good standing with the library -- meaning you should not have any blocks on you circulation record, or owe more than $5 in fines.
Please stop by the library circulation desk to try out this exciting new service.
Can't find a book you're looking for in BobCat, or the only copy is already checked out? Can't find the journal article you're looking for online or in print at Bobst Library?
