A key component of the University’s commitment to education is the Graduate School’s international exchange programs. In the New York University Institutes for Advanced Study, distinguished visiting faculty from throughout the world join specialists from NYU to research topics of increasing importance to all nations of the world. Together with graduate students, the visitors form an active core of intellectuals engaged in studying global issues.

The University-wide Exchange Program supports research and coursework at the University of Amsterdam (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Humboldt University and Freie University (Berlin, Germany), University of Bonn (Bonn, Germany), Comenius University (Bratislava, Slovakia), Copenhagen University (Copenhagen, Denmark), Trinity College - Dublin (Dublin, Ireland), Royal Holloway (Egham in Surrey, England; suburb of London), University of Florence and European University Institute (Florence, Italy), National Autonomous University of Mexico (Mexico City, Mexico), Sciences Po (Paris, France), Charles University (Prague, the Czech Republic), Pontificia Catholic University (Santiago, Chile), Ewha Womans University and Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea), Stockholm University (Stockholm, Sweden), and University of Vienna (Vienna, Austria).
