Whether for term papers, grant applications, project proposals, or the dissertation, one of the most challenging aspects of grad school is the simple process of putting words on paper. Academic writing is a balancing act, requiring detailed and nuanced analyses while maintaining the focus on a driving central narrative, not to mention the challenges of engaging the reader in a compelling argument without losing the veneer of academic polish. Sometimes, a fresh pair of eyes is needed.
The Graduate School of Arts and Science is pleased to announce the availability of a writing advisor to provide feedback on your work, discuss writing ideas, and help you overcome your writer’s block. The writing advisor is an advanced Ph.D. candidate with a history of successful grant applications. The advisor is here to brainstorm ideas, work on a manuscript’s structure and organization, or focus on academic style and language.
The writing advisor can help you with:
PhD petitions or proposals
Research papers or journal articles
Conference abstracts or presentations
To schedule an appointment with the advisor for a 20 minute one-on-one consultation, please email the writing advisor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
